At the Abram B. Cohen Nursery School, children enjoy modern, airy classrooms, a new, fenced-in playground, an indoor climbing room, a gymnasium with trained physical education staff, and a swimming pool with experienced aquatics instructors. Our staff consists of experienced educators who are dedicated to providing your child with the finest learning opportunities in a caring, warm, supportive environment.

Our developmentally appropriate curriculum features thematic, hands-on learning: the emphasis is on direct, interactive experiences. Children enjoy indoor and outdoor play, activities in math, reading, social studies, science, art, music and Judaic culture. Enrichment classes round out each day with a variety of educational options. The Lunch Buddies program bridges the gap between morning and afternoon sessions. Beforecare and Aftercare offer busy parents a quality childcare setting that extends each day. Our youngsters benefit from our specialized care, from early morning until late afternoon: when they are ready to go to public school, they will be independent, lifelong learners who are ready to embrace a challenging future.

3 Day 2’s – M/W/F – 9:15 – 11:15am
3 Day 3’s - M/W/F - 9:00 - 11:30am
5 Day 3’s - M - F - 12:30 – 3:00pm
5 Day 4’s – M – F - 12:30 – 3:00pm
 

The Wraparound Program for Two Year Olds!  (Must be 2 by October 15, 2009)
This program is designed for children who are enrolled in our 3 Day 2’s from 9:15 - 11:15am

After class, we will escort them to our Parenting Center where they will have their own special room for play, lunch, nap, art, stories and plenty of time for climbing in our new indoor play area. Wrapping the day around our well-respected 2 year old program gives little ones the opportunity to enjoy time with friends in Nursery School and spend the rest of the day in their own place. The day ends at 3:00pm. Before Care and After Care are available. Children may attend Tuesday/Thursday, Monday/ Wednesday/Friday, or all five days.  For further details, call Barbara Zitcer, ext. 247.

Just Me (Mid-Year 2 Day 2’s) 24+ Months (Must be 2 years old by March 1, 2010)
This class is designed to offer a beginning 2 Day 2 year old experience for children who have been enrolled in Mommy and Me and will be 2 years old by March 1, 2008. They will be eligible for the 3 Day 2’s for the next school year. This class is an introduction to the Nursery School and will be for youngsters who are ready to be dropped off by their caretakers and left with the classroom teachers.
